Georgie the new Smartphone interface powered by Android for the blinds, this will help the blinds make calls, navigate and do things that were previously nearly impossible for a blind man without any assistant. The Android application is designed by blind husband and wife, Team Roger and Margaret Wilson Hinds, you can call it a Smartphone application designed by blind and visually impaired for the blind and visually impaired. It is named after Margaret’s first Golden Labrador guide dog. After 18 months of development and testing, it was finally tested with the blind community for their feedback.
It is developed by not-for-profit social enterprise Screen reader and available through exclusive partners Sight and Sound Technology. The application loads features which are built specially for the blind users to overcome easily

Georgie is supported by Google's Android operating system. You can use it in existing Samsung Smartphones like Samsung XCover and Galaxy Ace 2,designed to be easy to use for blind users.When a user touches the large buttons on screen it sends voice feedback, by which a blind user can know whether he has selected the desired option or not.
