How to use Google Drive to store files

Google drive is an online storage drive for files, which also enables us collaborative editing of Document, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Form etc. Though it is launched couple of months ago, some of us aren't probably aware of this beautiful feature of Google.
We can upload our important files to Google drive and store it for later use. We can also share our files on Google plus, Twitter, Facebook and Gmail and can create a link for sharing on networks other than these four. You can also download the Google drive to your PC.In this tutorial i am going to show you how to store a file on Google drive.


Storage limit of Google drive

You will get 5GB of free storage space for Google drive and Google plus photos and 10GB of free storage space for messages and attachments. You can purchase additional storage space once you cross the free space limit. You can see the different storage plan and their pricing here https://www.google.com/settings/storage/

What will happen after reaching or exceeding the free storage limit
Once you've reached  or exceed the free storage limit that were available for Google plus and Google drive, you will not be able to upload or synchronize anything. However you can able to upload new photos and videos to Google plus under certain size limit. The size limits an be found on http://support.google.com/picasa/answer/1224181

If you have ran out of the free storage space provided for email messages and attachment, you will not receive any incoming emails, it will be returned to the sender. This means your inbox is full and out of space.


How to upload a file on Google Drive

1) Go to Google Drive
2) Sign in with your Gmail account
3) Then click on upload button as shown in the following image
4) Then select your file and the file will be uploaded automatically


How to create a folder on Google Drive
1) After uploading a file, select the file as shown in the following image
2) Then option will be pop up like this
3) To create a folder Click on New folder in My drive
4) After creating a folder click on Move button
5) Then select the folder to which you want to move your uploaded files.
